What better way to embrace the beauty surrounding you on Orange Grove Farm then to get up-close-and-personal with the fynbos and her animals? With a wealth of intimate guided activities, private to your party, you can explore and enjoy the unique environment surrounding us without hassle or stress, allowing you to renew your soul and sense of wonder.
Orange Grove Farm offers both cycling and hiking paths, allowing you to explore the foothills of the Langeberg mountains towering above us. We keep hiking groups to a maximum of 4 visitors, allowing an intimate experience that will awaken your sense of adventure without shattering the peaceful solitude of your trip. Families, while you are most welcome at the farm, do note that the hiking trails are not suitable for children under 5 for their own comfort and safety. Guides will take it at your own pace, however, so you needn’t feel pressured to keep up with a larger group.
In-season guests can explore the floral cacophony that erupts in the spring on our gentle Peerboom Dam hike, although the scenery is magnificent at any time of the year. There’s also our vineyards and olive groves to explore- our farmhands are always eager to help you out and entertain you with their stories! There’s also several superb guided hiking trails for you to enjoy. We won’t spoil the secrets too much, but let’s just say there’s even a chance to spot our resident pair of Black Eagles while out on the trail! You’ll explore unique areas of the farm, uncover breathtaking panoramic views of the valley, swim in achingly clear mountain streams, discover the waterfall and see traces of the leopards that still live in the area.
Of course, alongside our cycling and hiking paths, the area makes a perfect backdrop for nature drives, and the birding in the area is spectacular, so there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. Come embrace the natural beauty of the farm, uncover its secrets and allow the peaceful tranquility to ease away your city worries… you’ll return rejuvenated, uplifted and ready to take on the world.
